DescriptionTeledyne MultiFlame DF-TV7 UV/IR2 Flame DetectorTeledyne MultiFlame DF-TV7-V/IR2 Flame Detector is a combined ultraviolet/infrared (UV/IR2) flame detector designed to offer excellent flame detection capabilities while maintaining outstanding false alarm immunity. It combines a UV sensor and two infrared bands, making it particularly suitable for challenging conditions involving rain, wind, fast light variations, hot surface modulations, industrial lighting, and other difficult environmental factors. This UV/IR2 flame detector is suitable for use in SIL 2 (Safety Integrity Level 2) applications and can be interfaced directly with a wide range of fire panels, controllers, and PLCs. It offers flexible configuration options, with time delays, sensitivity levels, and output settings that can be adjusted using a wireless handheld terminal (TLU600) or optionally via HART communication.Key Features of the Teledyne MultiFlame DF-TV7-V/IR2 Flame DetectorOptical flame detector for hydrocarbons and carbon compoundsCombined UV and two IR detection bands for robust flame detectionThe MultiFlame DF-TV7-V/IR2 use a start-up time of 15 secondsPeriodic optical self-test through the windowOutput signals: 4-20 mA active type (source), max load impedance 700 ΩThe MultiFlame DF-TV7-V/IR2 has two configurable relays for normal, fire, and fault alarms (max 1A/30 Vdc)Power supply: 24 Vdc (18 – 28 Vdc)Consumption: 70 mA nominal, 155 mA during self-test316L stainless steel housing with IP66 protectionOperating temperature: -40°C to 65°C, 99% RH (non-condensable)MTBF of 162,000 hours for SIL2 certificationATEX, IECEx, and other certifications for hazardous areasThe MultiFlame DF-TV7-V/IR2 is widely used in various industries, including refineries, drilling and production platforms, fuel loading facilities, compressor stations, LNG/LPG processing and storage, gas turbines, chemical plants, and aircraft hangars.Call our team for further information at 02920 759 683, or visit our contact page.
